Car is on the trailer at a top secret storage facility near Banbury, I’m in Doncaster for a wedding and my team mate is in Ireland……..somewhere in the next 32 hours all three and a few extras will come together to arrive at Snett in time for a beer on Saturday evening with a bit of luck!
Philip and I were here yesterday for the track day. Still putting mk3 together yesterday morning (and still a few things to do today). Had a great day and met some other club members. Never driven the 300 before – great circuit and suits the C1 well.

We thought we were after a good test at Snetterton yesterday but after just having had to spend £109 on lead for ballast today to get us up to the limit the whole team, going forward to be known as ‘C1 want 1’,have been put onto an intensive pie only diet!
I bought the lead from Jewsons although I think most builders merchants should have it but there does seem to be a wide range of prices for the same thing. What you will need for the club ballast tray is Code 4 240mm and a 6mtr roll weighs 29kg and obviously a 3mtr roll half that.
Andy, will you need all of your roll? I’ve got a spare 6m (29kg) roll here and maybe between the 2 of us we can sort out those that haven’t got any yet.

So the first race is behind us. Just fantastic fun. The C1 is a brilliant little car and just perfect for a series like this, so many congratulations to the organisers for choosing it.
We were Neil Garner Motorsport in car 133. Turned up having never driven the car (nor even seen Snetterton let alone driven round it in my case) & with no experience of set-up, tyres pressures, fuel etc we qualified 12th out of 14!
We all improved considerably in the race however and were so, so effing pleased to finish on the podium in third!!
From my own personal point of view, during my long shift between 16.20 hours to the finish, I had a fantastic multi-lap duel with car 108. Absolute close quarter racing with no favours given, yet we never touched each other, not once.
