Provisional Timetable
24 Hrs Spa 20th – 22nd October 2017
We are frequently being asked about timings for the 24hr race at Spa so that all necessary ferry and hotel bookings can be made. Unfortunately we cannot give a concrete timetable as we don’t receive anything until the last minute from our Belgian friends.
What we can do is give a general estimation of what has happened over the previous 15 years of competing at this event and include whatever facts we do have.
Thursday 19th October
Ideally at least one member of the team to arrive in the vicinity of the circuit late afternoon/early evening and be able to collect all tickets and passes for the team. We are exploring alternatives to this but nothing is yet fixed or in place.
Friday 20th October
7am – Gates open
8am – Signing on for testing
As you can imagine this can be a tortuous process with possibly 4-500 drivers trying to sign on!!
9am – Testing starts
9-10 is inclusive in the entry cost, you have to sign on and get wrist bands even if you are only doing this session. Additional testing is payable on the day 10.00-12.00 is 200euro and 13.00 – 17.00 is 400euro with a discount of 500euro if all day is booked.
4pm – Scrutineering and driver sign on
Please ensure we have all your driver details, including photos, by the 20th September at the very latest, as having to obtain membership cards and fill details in will cause long delays at signing on.
6pm – Driver briefing
Saturday 21st October
8am – Driver briefing
If it didn’t happen on Friday night. We are trying to get an English only driver briefing so that we stand half a chance of understanding what they are saying. It’s normally conducted in at least 3 languages which makes it interesting.
9am – Qualifying – probably 2 hours.
3pm – Formation lap
4pm – Race Start
Sunday 22nd October
4pm – Race finish
5pm – Trophy presentation
