White C1 donor car – best model and really quick to build

Genuine one owner Jan 2012 C1 base model. Warranted 62k miles, never damaged, no corrosion and good service history (mostly Citroen main dealer). 12 months MoT and a new pair of Michelin front tyres. This is the base model with no electric ANYTHING – there isn’t even an interior light switch on the passenger side! There is no quicker way to build a car down to the weight limit.

Whilst all these engines are noisy, this one has slowly got noisier over time and now has noticeable tappet noise. This doesn’t seem to harm performance as the car pulls very well. It uses a little bit of oil (but they all seem to) and no water. I changed the oil and filter a couple of weeks ago and there was no contamination of any kind.

A dealer would want £3.5k for an A1 car and a private sale price would be £3k. Offered here at £2250 which is a huge discount.

As a racer myself, I have a car transporter and can deliver the car at cost. If you wanted the car built up to race spec I could do that too, please ask for a price. I have prepared and run race cars on an ‘arrive and drive’ basis for drivers in the past, as well as providing driver management (from club racing up to FIA GT3), and would consider this for a properly funded driver who needs a mentor who can help them progress and enjoy their racing.

Would prefer to see this out in the race series but the car has to go as it has already been replaced. Sensible offers considered.

Thanks – is he winperformance123 on eBay? I’ve invited him round for a talk because I might be tempted out of ‘retirement’ for a drive in the Endurance races. Otherwise, I have loads of race car bits and pieces here so might be able to throw in a few bits to sweeten the deal. Nothing to lose from coming over for a mug of tea and a chat about racing eh?

Thanks to everyone for your interest, the car is now sold as of Sunday 19th Feb. The buyer doesn’t have immediate plans to race it but they do have motorsport connections and the car may end up on track yet.
