Race of Remembrance 2017
Entries for RoR17 are now open and the grid is starting to fill up. We’re expecting a sell-out event of 45 teams and plan to run a reserve list of c.6 teams.
Please find attached an official entry form, the full regulations will be made available shortly. We’re thrilled that BARC will once again be handling the management and running of the race after doing a stellar job in 2016 and Anglesey are delighted we’re returning. We’re pleased to confirm the classes as follows:
• Citroen C1 endurance series cars
• Up to 1600cc
• Up to 2000cc
• BMW Compact Cup
• Lotus
• Caterham
As with previous years you can either enter a single car in The Heroes Trophy or up to four cars in relay format. If you wish to submit an Invitational class entry (>2000cc) then you’ll need to make your case to the committee and wait to be approved.
If you would like to invite a Mission Motorsport beneficiary to race with you please let me / the RoR committee know as soon as possible please.
As you may have seen the race has changed this year to a 12hr endurance event meaning there will be an additional 2 hours of night racing. Starting at 1500 on the Saturday, racing through until 2000 – park ferme overnight – starting again at 0900 Sunday and through to a 1600 finish, including the reason we all attend; the remembrance service mid-morning.
The price has been confirmed in 2017 as £2,100 which makes it the most affordable 12 hour endurance race of the year. To secure an entry we request a deposit of £500 immediately and the balance (£1,600) due by or before Friday 29th September.
